This was written to capture the overall feel of City of Saints and Madmen. To sound urban, it needed a mechanical or electronic feel, but using electronics would not fit the feel of Ambergris. I opted to use acoustic sounds and process them to give it an electronic feel. The sound sources are acoustic guitars, drums, piano and Tuvan throat singing
